​Assisted in a Christmas funfair for children, caroling on Christmas day and constructed concrete tiles for an expansion project. CDC holds a special place for me as the cause I have volunteered the most regularly with. I have come to know the staff as well as the village as a second family and home.

School of Nations, Nairobi, and Ngong Hills Orphanage
Nairobi, Kenya
Helped in the kitchen, building repairs and built Microsoft Excel tools for staff to streamline work at School of Nations, Nairobi. On weekends, I would paint classrooms at Ngong Hills Orphanage outside Nairobi. I also immersed myself culturally in events like weddings and stayed at local's homes to learn their way of life.

Share a Child Movement
TapTap Village, Cebu, The Philippines
Part of Project Katalista organised by Singapore Management University in conjunction with Share a Child Movement Inc. We developed a unique curriculum to draw children away from drugs and alcohol abuse. The curriculums is now endorsed by Share a Child (Philippines) and benefits over 1,000 disadvantaged children across Cebu, Philippines. We also educated the children on personal hygiene practices like teeth brushing and refurbished a school library in the village.
